Practical AI Delivery

AI is a practical tool for building faster, working more efficiently, and unlocking new opportunities across both software delivery and business processes. It helps accelerate development, reduce repetitive work, improve research and analysis, and support smarter automation at scale.

Used effectively, AI is a force multiplier rather than a replacement for judgement. It can speed up implementation, testing, documentation, and decision support, while also creating opportunities for better customer experiences, operational efficiency, and new product capabilities.

However, AI is not a panacea, so outputs still need review, testing, and sensible safeguards. The value comes from using it deliberately: improving speed and productivity without compromising quality, security, or accountability.

This portfolio website is itself part of that story. It was created using AI across the whole build process, from drafting copy and sourcing images through to styling, interactions, and implementation. The site was built through agentic workflows directed by my prompts, technical guidance, and development experience - showcasing my abilities and evaluating AI's latest model capabilities.

The design concept also grew directly from this shift. After more than 25 years of prioritising client work, the advent of AI finally made it possible to carve out the time to create a proper portfolio. That moment shaped the idea itself: a timeline of the web, reimagining how the same body of work might have been presented across different eras of internet design, reflected in the nostalgic, era-based navigation.
